Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of lahavsec.com. They do not govern any security testing work we do for you. That is covered by a separate signed agreement, and where the two differ, the signed agreement wins.

Who we are

LahavSec is an offensive security practice operated by Yaniv Avisror in Israel. You can reach us at contact@lahavsec.com.

What this site is

This site describes our services and how we work. Nothing on it is an offer to enter into a contract, a quotation, or a commitment to take on any particular piece of work. Scope, price and timing are agreed in writing, per engagement.

Not professional advice

The material here is general information about security testing. It is not legal advice, not compliance advice, and not a substitute for an assessment of your own systems. Do not act on it as if it were specific to your environment, because it is not.

Authorisation, and what you must not do

This is the term that matters most to us. Security testing is lawful when it is authorised and unlawful when it is not. Nothing on this site authorises you, or anyone else, to test, probe, scan or attack any system. We test only under a signed scope and a written authorisation from the party entitled to give it, and where the target is hosted by a third party, we confirm that provider's authorisation as well.

In relation to this website itself, you agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system connected to it, not to run automated scanning or load testing against it without our written permission, and not to use it to transmit anything unlawful. If you believe you have found a security issue in this site, we would genuinely like to know. Email us rather than testing further.

Intellectual property

The text, design, brand, logo, film and code on this site belong to LahavSec unless stated otherwise. The photography, video and graphics used here are either produced by us or licensed for our use. You may read, quote briefly with attribution, and link to this site. You may not republish it wholesale, or present it as your own.

Reports and other deliverables produced in an engagement are addressed separately in the engagement agreement.

External links

Where we link out, we do not control the destination and we are not responsible for it.

Availability and liability

We try to keep this site accurate and available, and we make no promise that it is either at any given moment. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Accessibility

This site is built to meet Israeli Standard 5568, based on WCAG 2.0 level AA, and carries an accessibility menu and an accessibility statement. If something is not usable for you, tell us and we will fix it.

Privacy

How this site handles information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the bottom.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
